Infertility
The cause of infertility may be difficult to determine but may include inadequate levels of certain hormones in both men and women, and trouble with ovulation in women. The main symptom is an inability to get pregnant. In many cases, there are no additional symptoms. Treatments include hormone management, fertility drugs and surgery. In addition, assisted reproduction uses various medical techniques to fertilise an egg.
Menstrual Disorders
The four phases of the menstrual cycle are menstruation, the follicular phase, ovulation and the luteal phase. Common menstrual problems include heavy or painful periods and premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Knowing when in the menstrual cycle a woman is most likely to conceive can increase the chance of pregnancy.
PCOS
Polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS is a common endocrine disorder that affects women of reproductive age, typically starting in adolescence or early adulthood. Its exact cause is unknown, but several factors contribute to its development, including genetics, insulin resistance, and hormonal imbalances.
STD
Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), or sexually transmitted infections (STIs), are infections that are passed from one person to another through sexual contact. They are usually spread during vaginal, oral, or anal sex. Common symptoms include itching and burning around your genital area. The good news is that most treatments can cure the infection, but not all types.
